General Manager

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic GM to head up Front of House. You will be responsible for ensuring that our small, close knit team is supported and motivated and that guests consistently receive the highest quality service, food and wine.  

You’ll be working closely alongside chef patron Fred Page who has extensive experience in outstanding restaurants, most recently head chef at Marle, Heckfield Place when it was awarded its Green Michelin Star.  Fred’s cooking is ingredient-led with an emphasis on seasonality and locality.  The drinks’ menu is a small but confident selection of cocktails, with a cider and winelist made up of a mixture of low intervention wines alongside a few classic styles.

What We Offer:

  • £33-38k plus tronc (<45 hours)

Key Experience:

  • Solid experience as a GM with great references

  • Expertise in wine & cider, a passion for ingredients, and a knack for sharing knowledge

  • Strong leadership & rota management incl. timesheets and instructing tronc / payroll

  • Experience with stock management, inventory and financial budgeting

  • IT proficiency incl reservation software and POS (Lightspeed)

Restaurant Assistants

We’re always on the look out for enthusiastic all-rounders to join as restaurant assistants. Hospitality experience preferred.

Tasks include:

  • Welcoming guests

  • Serving dishes and clearing tables

  • Simple food prep, guided by our chef

  • Making coffee (training provided, basic knowledge preferable)

  • Dishwashing, both during and after service. Post is a small space with an open kitchen, so tidiness is an absolute must!

  • Assisting with clean-down after service

  • Wednesday - Sunday. Full time / Part time roles available. Day / Evening shifts (until 11pm) available

Wage : dependent on experience

You will receive:
